The Frac Sand Dome storage facility recently constructed near Wembley Canada far exceeds 30,000 metric tons of sand storage in one building.  This one facility is capable of loading multiple 100-car unit trains without fully emptying its contents of sand. It is situated adjacent to a flat storage facility of similar capacity.  Due to the design advantages, the dome stores almost three times the tonnage per square foot than the flat storage facility.
