In December 2012, Cadre Proppants began operation of its one-of-a kind 'Proppant-on-Demand System' at its facility in Voca, TX. With the use of concrete domes and below-dome tunnels built by South Industries, Cadre has added a total of 40,000 tons of proppant storage. The facility is designed to enable large volumes of proppant to be delivered safely and efficiently from the plant-site to the well-site with simplified logistics.
The Michigan Road Commission for Oakland County added this 110' dome to increase their salt storage capacity in 2012. The dome will hold 9,000 tons of salt, with most of it being used to keep the roadways to and from Detroit free of ice and snow during the winter.
In 2010, South Industries built two domes for Grey's Recycling Plant in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They measure 113' wide x 40' tall and 242' wide x 60' tall. The domes house operations for recycling paper and various other products.
The Michigan Road Commission for Oakland County added this 4,500 ton salt storage dome in the fall of 2012 in Lake Orion, Michigan.
